School’s basically out for summer – Nurture My Child can help

Y’all, I know it’s still only January, but HEB has vomited all the Valentine’s which means Reese’s Eggs are gonna be in my mouth soon and then before I know it I have to craft buy end-of-year teacher gifts and then holy hell my kids are gonna be with me every. single. day. That’s right summer is basically tomorrow and my sanity is already wondering wtf we are gonna do about it.

Most years around this time the end of May I am panicked about summer and find myself sifting through Google searches and Facebook mom groups to find where in the hell I can send my kids during the months of June, July and August. It’s a time suck of epic proportions and 3 hours later instead of registering my kids for soccer camp or swim lessons, I’ve somehow ended up on a Lularoe page buying cherub leggings instead.

Cue Nurture My Child. This website is a hidden gem of extra time in your pocket. They offer a free personalized search for Austin area families to locate camps, classes and even childcare or nannies. The site was extremely user friendly and allowed me to filter my search results by location, age, and hours/dates needed. You could even search multiple ages at once or select specific categories of interest. You have a budding Monet? Search strictly art camps. A Michael Jordan wannabe? Search sport and fitness camps.

Once you’ve narrowed down your search criteria you get to browse all the options in one location. I only filtered my search by zip and age and was so surprised by some of the options. Did you know Austin has a Mini Horse Camp for kiddos aged 3-6?! How freaking cool is that! I also loved that you could save camps you like to your profile. This made it super easy to login later and show my husband all the options I found.

Nurture My Child is definitely a useful tool for busy families and helped calm my nerves as summer draws closer. They are THE one stop shop for quality programs for your kiddos and I highly recommend giving them a try. If you want to learn more, then be sure to attend their FREE Summer Camp Fair on Sunday, February 26th where families can learn about all the camps Austin has to offer. There will be activities for all ages including a cupcake bar and Lego area, but best of all they will be GIVING AWAY free weeks of camp to a few lucky families!!! You better believe me and the fuegos will be there 🙂
