I still can’t believe my sweet baby girl is one year old! We celebrated this weekend with family and friends from near and far and it was simply perfect. We are so very grateful to our loved ones that took the time to join us for her birthday party and can’t thank them enough for all the support, love, and generosity. The theme was “all that glitters is gold” and it couldn’t have been any more stereotypical girly if I tried. Here are the details on how I pulled it all together:
The door wreath was crafted with the help of a friend who specializes in glittering things. A couple of cans of spray paint, some ribbon, and a hot glue gun got the job done. This friend also donated all the glitter and gold frames that she crafted for her wedding last year.
The badass cakes were created by my sweet neighbor and friend. The Mud Pie topper I ordered off Amazon.
The abundance of balloons were from one of my favorite local party stores, Party Couture. They also carry many of the Mud Pie first birthday hot pink and gold glitter props and attire I used (bib, crown, one banner, birthday banner, party hat), but I got her bloomers from Amazon and the tutu from Southern Tots.
All the food was planned and prepared by my badass step mom who also happens to be a chef and spice shop owner. I did contribute by ordering a Jimmy John party platter, but the Lemon Pomegranate Spinach Salad with Strawberries was all her doing.
Then of course I got a number of things from my favorite place @whoawaitwalmart including all the pink and turquoise paper goods (and gumballs for my centerpiece)!
Thanks again to everyone that joined us for the celebration! We hope you had as much fun as we did. And if anyone knows someone with a little girl that will be turning one in the near future, I basically have a party in a box with all the Mud Pie pink and gold items I purchased. They still look like new and I will sell the set to the best offer! 🙂
